We lucked out when our De Walt drill rechargeable battery died. Home Depot was having a sale on new drills with 2 rechargeable batteries included. I think we paid $25 more than the cost of 2 batteries, but we got a second drill and a second charger. So now we have one for the garage and one for the house, plus 2 chargers and 3 batteries that are still good. Won't need to buy anything for a few years!

Good tip...I have been replacing the drill battery for all 15 years of owning my power drill. I didn't know it was helping with the environment...I just wanted to save money! Thanks for the info...
